This five-day journey through Australia's Top End showcases some of the country's richest wilderness and Aboriginal cultural heritage. From Darwin's tropical waterfront to the ancient rock art and wetlands of Kakadu, and the dramatic sandstone gorges of Nitmiluk, this itinerary is designed as a flexible framework that can be tailored to your pace and interests.

Day-by-Day Itinerary

DAY 1  ARRIVAL IN DARWIN

Arrive in Darwin and transfer privately to your hotel. With the rest of the day at leisure, wander the waterfront precinct, browse Mindil Beach Sunset Market if your arrival coincides with market night, or relax by the harbour as the tropical heat eases into evening. Overnight in Darwin.

DAY 2  KAKADU NATIONAL PARK

Travel to Kakadu National Park, Australia's largest national park and a dual UNESCO World Heritage site recognised for both its natural landscapes and living Aboriginal culture. Visit ancient rock art galleries at Ubirr or Nourlangie, with sweeping views over the Arnhem Land escarpment and floodplains below. Overnight in Kakadu.

DAY 3  KAKADU WETLANDS CRUISE

Cruise the wetlands of Kakadu, where billabongs and waterways teem with birdlife, saltwater crocodiles, and dramatic wet-season scenery. A cruise on Yellow Water Billabong or the East Alligator River offers some of the best wildlife viewing in the park, with a guide on hand to point out the park's remarkable biodiversity. Overnight in Kakadu.

DAY 4  NITMILUK GORGE, KATHERINE

Travel to Nitmiluk (Katherine Gorge), a series of thirteen sandstone gorges carved by the Katherine River. Join a scenic gorge cruise or guided walk along the escarpment, taking in ancient rock formations, swimming holes, and views across Nitmiluk National Park. Overnight in Katherine.

DAY 5  DEPARTURE

At leisure before your transfer to the airport for your onward or homebound flight. End of services.
