Day-by-Day Itinerary
DAY 1 ARRIVAL IN SYDNEY
Touch down in Sydney and transfer privately to your hotel. With the rest of the day at leisure, take an early stroll around Circular Quay to catch your first glimpse of the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge, or simply settle in and rest after your flight. Overnight in Sydney.
DAY 2 SYDNEY HIGHLIGHTS
A full day discovering Sydney's icons. Visit the Sydney Opera House precinct, walk through the Royal Botanic Garden, and take in the harbour views from Mrs Macquarie's Chair. Continue to The Rocks for its colonial-era laneways, then on to Bondi or Darling Harbour in the afternoon, depending on your interests. Overnight in Sydney.
DAY 3 BLUE MOUNTAINS DAY TRIP
Head inland to the Blue Mountains, a UNESCO World Heritage-listed wilderness just over an hour from the city. See the Three Sisters rock formation from Echo Point, ride the Scenic Skyway or Scenic Railway through the rainforest canopy, and enjoy lunch in the mountain village of Katoomba or Leura before returning to Sydney in the evening. Overnight in Sydney.
DAY 4 FLY TO CAIRNS
Transfer privately to Sydney Airport for your flight to Cairns, gateway to the Great Barrier Reef and Tropical North Queensland. On arrival, transfer to your hotel with the balance of the day free to enjoy the Cairns Esplanade or lagoon. Overnight in Cairns.
DAY 5 GREAT BARRIER REEF CRUISE
A full-day cruise out to the Great Barrier Reef, a UNESCO World Heritage-listed natural wonder. Snorkel or dive above vibrant coral gardens, take a glass-bottom boat or semi-submersible tour, and enjoy lunch on board as you cruise between reef sites. Return to Cairns by late afternoon. Overnight in Cairns.
DAY 6 KURANDA & DAINTREE RAINFOREST
Journey into the Daintree, the world's oldest tropical rainforest, and the historic mountain village of Kuranda. Highlights typically include a scenic rainforest rail or Skyrail cableway journey, time to explore Kuranda's markets and galleries, and a look at the region's unique wildlife. Overnight in Cairns.
DAY 7 FLY TO MELBOURNE
Transfer to Cairns Airport for your flight south to Melbourne, Australia's cultural capital. On arrival, transfer to your hotel with time to explore Melbourne's famous laneways, boutiques, and café culture. Overnight in Melbourne.
DAY 8 DEPARTURE
At leisure until your private transfer to Melbourne Airport for your onward or homebound flight. End of services.
